ABOUT ADOPT A BLOCK
Since 2017, Kingston Creative has focused on empowering creative people and using art and culture to transform Downtown Kingston. Phase I of the Downtown Transformation Programme involved the opening of a Creative Coworking Space, the staging of over 60 free arts festivals and the creation of over 100 murals and hosting of daily tours to help people to rediscover the beauty of Downtown.
Phase II of the Downtown Transformation Programme will involve the installation of seating, lighting, shade, plants, waste receptacles and signage. This development of the area creates a positive image that showcases its unique characteristics, invites more visitors and changes the narrative around Downtown Kingston.
We invite you to be a part of Phase II of the transformation of Downtown Kingston by supporting the Downtown Transformation Project! Your donation will support the development of murals, shading, seating, plants and signage in Water Lane. This creative placemaking programme will employ creatives and make Downtown Kingston into a vibrant, safe, cultural destination. We want to bring back #OneDowntown, where communities are united through culture.

ON Pay Pal you can set up a monthly recurring or one-time payment to support the cause. American Friends of Jamaica is a registered 501(c) 3 tax exempt organisation in the USA. US residents can donate through them to get the tax exemption. Jamaicans can donate tax free directly to Kingston Creative as we are a registered charity organisation.
